Erasmus Mundus scholarships
Erasmus Mundus aims to enhance quality in higher education through scholarships and academic cooperation between Europe and the rest of the world by offering scholarships to students enroling to high-quality study programmes.
Applicants for the TRIBOS+ master study programme can therefore apply for Erasmus Mundus Scholarship, provided by European Commission through the EACEA agency under Action 1 activity.
Erasmus Mundus distinguish two types of scholarship:
Programme country scholarships are offered to:
- Students whose nationality is one of the Erasmus+ Programme Countries (EU Countries).
- Students from countries that are not part of the European Union or the EFTA/EEA (Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Turkey, North Macedonia).
- Students that have not resided and have carried out their main activity in EU or EFTA/EEA countries, for more than 12 months over the last five years.
- Students that had never received an Erasmus+ scholarship for the Master study programme.
All three criteria must apply for Partner country scholarship eligibility.
Partner country scholarships are offered to:
- all other students, not eligible for Programme country scholarship.
More information about Programme and Partner Countries is available here.
Selection of applicants for scholarships
The number of Partner country and Programme country scholarships is limited and decided for every edition of students on a yearly basis by the EACEA agency. Selection is valid for the whole duration of the study programme, i.e. two years in the case of TRIBOS+.
Due to a limited number of scholarships, these will be offered to the best-ranking students according to Admission and Selection criteria, described in the appropriate sections of the TRIBOS+ website, as well as based on the EACEA scholarship rules. The final decision is made in accordance with the EACEA procedures and agreement.
For the 2021/23 edition of TRIBOS+ students, about 20 Erasmus Mundus scholarships are envisaged. This number should be considered just as an indication of the possible number of scholarships.
